Educational Advisory Board

The Educator Advisory Board will advise and help guide the three-year Teaching American History program, providing input for the design and delivery of the program.  Advisory Board members will consist of elementary, middle and secondary representatives from partnering districts.

Graduate Credit Course-American Promises for Frontier School Districts, Granby and Ware
Instructor: Barbara Mathews

This course is offered to full participants in the the Teaching American History Program for Franklin County School Districts as well as the school districts of Granby and Ware.  The course will use local history as a window into larger themes of American History.  It emphasizes the use of primary documents, artifacts and first person perspectives in the classsroom.  The course integrates technology into curriculum development and addresses the Massachusetts standards in history and social studies.
